Wiki.js 3 beta.628 ships a Visual editor (ProseMirror WYSIWYG) that
stores markdown source, interchangeable with the markdown editor.

Create flow: DocsWorkspaceController::createDocument and
DocsHierarchyService accept an 'editor' param (markdown|visual,
default markdown) propagated to WikiJsClient::createPage; the
theme's New Document dialog offers an Editor select defaulting to
'Visual Editor — recommended'. The /_edit/{path} redirect opens
whichever editor the page's stored field names.
Existing pages: opt-in 'Change editor…' tree action ->
PUT /api/v1/docs/{org}/projects/{project}/pages/editor ->
Wiki.js PUT /sites/{id}/pages/{id}/editor. Only editors sharing a
content type are interchangeable, so nothing is rewritten; Wiki.js
records the switch as an ordinary page version. No auto-conversion.
MCP: wikijs.pages.get reports editor/content_type/convertible_to;
pages.create accepts editor; pages.update refuses content writes on
pages whose contentType is not markdown with unsupported_format —
visual pages store markdown and remain writable.
Bootstrap converges editors.visual.isActive so the editor is
verifiably enabled on every site.
